Brickwork

Type of materials in brickwork include sand lime, burnt clay and ash clay. Because brickwork is very strong and acts as insulation, it is more cost-effective than wood. It is also more resistant to various weather conditions. The use of bricks actually goes back thousands of years. The first blocks were created with clay or mud and were then dried to form a solid material.

Aside from the type of Nassau or Suffolk County brick, another aspect to consider is the method of bonding. Options for bonding include garden wall, diagonal, facing and more.

Bricks are hardened clay and are often thought of as the common rectangular red block. Surprisingly there are literally hundreds of variations of brick.
